Prototype 1

The first part of this project is to design a prototype design of a catapult based on a tissue box/shoebox design.

I chose the shoebox design as the shoebox has a large and stable base which is essential in building a catapult.

With the limited resource I have, I managed to design and construct a prototype that can launch a projectile as far as 1 meter.

​

The prototype is flimsy and loose as it is made up of low-quality materials and put together with masking tapes and rubber bands, however, it took a lot of effort to construct it.
